[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Ildong Pharmaceutical Co. said on the 22nd that it has decided to export its cardiovascular raw material drug (API) Benidine Hydrochloride’ to Guangzhou Tosun Pharmaceutical in Guangzhou, China.
Benidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that expands blood vessels and relieves the burden on the heart by blocking the passage of calcium ions involved in the contraction of blood vessels and heart muscles, and is mainly used to treat high blood pressure and angina.
The company said it has recently signed a contract on a partnership between the two companies, including Tosun and Benidipine supply, and is carrying out all the necessary procedures to advance into China. Ildong Pharmaceutical had previously obtained registration and approval of raw materials for Benidipine from Chinese drug management authorities.
