[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] It is heard that Hite Jinro is considering acquiring the global Scotch whiskey brand "Global."
Hite Jinro announced on the 8th, "We are considering the acquisition of Windows Global, but nothing has been confirmed so far."
He added, "We will re-publicize the details within a month or when they are confirmed."
Diageo currently has a corporation called 'Diagio Korea' and 'Windsur Global' in Korea.
In March last year, Diageo signed a contract to sell Windsor's domestic management rights to private equity group "Bayside Equity-Metis Private Equity" consortium for 200 billion won, but terminated the contract in September of the same year.
