[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KB Financial Group's chairman nomination committee has selected Yang Jong-hee, the current vice chairman, as the final candidate for the next chairman.
The committee, which consists of seven outside directors, voted on Vice Chairman Yang as candidates after in-depth interviews with Vice Chairman Yang, current Vice Chairman Heo In and Vietnamese HD Bank Chairman Kim Byung-ho today (8th).
Yang served as president of KB Insurance in 2016 and became vice chairman of KB Financial Insurance and Global two years ago.
If Yang passes the legal qualification verification, he will be appointed as the next chairman on Nov. 20 after being recommended by the board of directors.
