[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] BBQ has been under fire for delaying the four major insurance policies for new employees.
According to data on the current status of national pension service operators on the 7th, new employees selected by bbq with the industry's highest starting salary of 45.4 million won earlier this year began four weeks of new training at Chicken University and other universities on Feb. 28, but the registration and payment of four major insurance policies, including the National Pension Service, were made only in May, about two months later.
"If there is no employment phrase for temporary workers during the probation period, the BBQ seems to have applied related regulations arbitrarily," said Han Chi-ho, a senior member of the NBNtv (Ph.D. in public administration). "If there is no controversy, it is necessary to specify the employment conditions, including the probation period."
"As BBQ is well-known as a company where Chairman Yoon Hong-geun is in charge of management, whether Chairman Yoon ordered or recognized the joining of the four major insurance policies is also likely to serve as an important measure of corporate reputation," said Dr. Han Chi-ho.
According to Smart Today, the monthly salary, which divides the company's starting salary of 45.4 million won into 12 months, is 3,783,333 won. Based on this, the total amount of four major insurances per person is 735,690 won.
In a simple calculation, it is said that the worker's burden is 355,550 won and the employer's burden is 381,140 won. When calculating this as 51 new employees, the monthly business burden is only 19.38 million won. The amount saved for two months is less than 40 million won.
According to related laws such as the Labor Standards Act, health insurance is reported within 14 days of the worker's entry date, and in the case of national insurance employment insurance and industrial accident insurance, it is required to report by the 15th of the month following the month in which the worker's entry date belongs.
Even for one-month temporary workers (part-timers), the four major insurance policies must be reported and paid.
The fine for delayed reporting or non-reporting per worker will start at 30,000 won per person (up to 1 million won per month) for the first detection and increase to up to 100,000 won (up to 3 million won per month).
A BBQ official told Alpha Biz, "New employees are covered by four major insurances because they are hired as full-time employees after completing the training," adding, "They are informed during the interview process."
"Chairman Yoon is only managing ESG management and the global sector," he said. "We are not involved in personnel affairs at all."
