According to the Jeonnam Regional Post Office and police on the 3rd, the head of a post office in South Jeolla Province has been under police investigation for allegedly embezzling about 120 million won in public funds in recent months.
Mr. A was found to have secretly taken out cash stored in the post office safe and used it for personal use.
The postal authorities found Mr. A's misconduct in their own audit in August this year and asked the police to investigate him last month.
A reimbursed about 70 million won after embezzlement was discovered.
The police will send the case to the prosecution as soon as they complete the investigation.
