[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] NCsoft, which showed poor performance this year due to a drop in sales of its flagship games, has set up a "Change Management Committee" and started work to streamline its management.

According to the game industry on the 9th, NCsoft announced in-house that it launched the 'Change Management Committee' the previous day.

According to the announcement, Change Management will discuss NCsoft's ▲ organizational and decision-making system maintenance ▲ Rational cost control and reduction ▲ ways to strengthen capabilities and competitiveness for new growth.

The chairman was Chief Operating Officer (COO) Koo Hyun-beom, who took office in March, with a total of six members.

The NCsoft union under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, which was launched in April, announced to its members that it would take the lead in stabilizing employment in response to concerns over restructuring.

NCsoft's operating profit in the second quarter of this year fell 71.3% year-on-year to 35.3 billion won, down 57% from the previous quarter.

Stock prices have also been on the decline since early this year and are currently trading at around 210,000 won. It is more than half of the 52-week high (481,000 won).
