LG Electronics announced on the 10th that it recorded sales of 20.7139 trillion won and operating profit of 996.7 billion won in the third quarter of this year. Operating profit rose more than 33.5% compared to the same period last year, well exceeding market expectations.
This is the second largest sales and operating profit in the third quarter recorded over the past five years. As it recorded an "earning surprise" with its market forecast exceeding 20%, it is expected that its annual performance will also reach its highest level.
Although LG Electronics did not announce its performance by business, the industry believes that it has succeeded in improving its constitution by expanding the proportion of business-to-business transactions (B2B) such as auto parts and HVAC (Air Conditioning and Heating).
