[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] CJ Logistics' development of a high-tech U.S. logistics center is speeding up. This is due to the confirmed investment by the Korea Maritime Promotion Agency (KOBC). It is expected to help K-products advance into foreign markets and strengthen export competitiveness.

According to the investment banking (IB) industry on the 13th, Haejin Corporation recently held an investment review committee and decided to invest $ 61 million in a special purpose company (SPC) for the development of the US advanced logistics center of CJ Logistics.

It is a project to develop logistics centers at three key hubs owned by CJ Logistics' US subsidiary (CJLA). CJLA invests its logistics property in JV in kind and acquires common shares. Mirae Asset Asset Management has decided to provide investment advice, including JV operations.

All logistics centers developed by JV will be designated as overseas joint logistics centers, which will contribute to the Yoon Seok-yeol government's performance of state affairs. It supports the entry into the North American market by preferentially handling export and import cargo and e-commerce products of Korean companies.

CJ Korea Express plans to develop the optimal logistics operation model. The strategy is to link new logistics centers with 57 logistics centers operating throughout the United States and use them as leverage for innovative growth in the US business.
