The National Pension Service owns more than 1 trillion shares in 21 locations, including Naver and Kia

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The stock valuation of local listed companies with more than a 5% stake in the National Pension Service plunged in the aftermath of high interest rates and falling stock prices. Twenty-one companies with more than 1 trillion won in pensions, including Samsung Electronics and Naver, have seen their valuation fall by 3.5 trillion won in the past three months, the report showed.

According to financial information provider FnGuide on the 17th, the National Pension Service holds more than a 5% stake, with 283 listed companies subject to disclosure as of the 11th, with a stock valuation value of 128.9029 trillion won. This was down about 4.4% from 296 companies and 134.9356 trillion won as of the end of the second quarter.

These large stocks account for about 62% of the total stock valuation. The valuation of 21 companies totaled 80.1684 trillion won, down 4.2% from the end of the previous quarter (83.7138 trillion won). During the same period, the KOSPI fell 4.5 percent to 2450.08 from 2564.28.

New investments in the national pension fund have also increased. Pensions have invested in some companies in the third quarter to secure a large stake of more than 5%. Specifically, there are 11 companies including Simtech, HK Innoen, JSYS Medical, Park Systems, and DN Automotive.

In the automotive and parts industries, the company has expanded its stake in one company and reduced its stake in eight companies. Chemistry has increased its stake in four companies, while eight have decreased.
