[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Hyundai Infracore will enter the electric commercial vehicle market by developing battery packs for trucks. HD Hyundai Infracore recently announced on the 19th that it will strengthen cooperation to supply battery packs for trucks to Tata Daewoo commercial vehicles and expand the product line of electric commercial vehicles such as special vehicles.

According to the agreement, HD Hyundai Infracore will supply battery pack prototypes to Tata Daewoo commercial vehicles from the first half of next year. We plan to mass-produce and deliver products from 2025. The battery cell is a cylindrical product of LG Energy Solution. HD Hyundai Infracore receives this and manufactures it into modules and packs.

HD Hyundai Infracore will develop a battery pack for light vehicles with high energy density based on its own technology. According to global market research firm Markets & Markets, the global electric commercial vehicle market is expected to grow from 529,400 units this year to 2,155,100 units in 2030.
