According to related industries on the 23rd, Hanse Industrial Co., Eugene Corp. and UPI Communications Co. submitted applications to participate in the bidding to Samil Accounting Corp., an advisory firm on the sale of YTN. The sale side plans to select the candidate who writes the highest price as the winning bidder on the 23rd.
As a result, the YTN will be sold by U.S. telecommunications company UPI and Eugene Group, which has more than 10 affiliates including local OEM·ODM clothing maker Hansae Co., Eugene Asset Management Co. and Eugene Investment & Securities Co. I became involved.
The stake to be sold this time is 13 million ordinary shares held by KEPCO KDN and the Korea Racing Authority, totaling 30.95%. KEPCO KDN, the largest shareholder of YTN, owns a 21.43% stake in YTN and the Korea Racing Authority owns 9.52%. It takes a total of two to three months for the contract to be signed after the highest bid and approved by the Korea Communications Commission, which is expected to determine the final buyer as early as next year.
