Kwon Jae-han, head of the Agricultural Innovation Policy Division at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, visited the first plant in Incheon, CJ CheilJedang's Jeju plant, the country's No. 1 sugar market share.

At the on-site meeting, a CJ CheilJedang official said that the company's cost burden is increasing due to the rise in international raw sugar prices and requested government support, such as maintaining quota tariffs on raw sugar.
