[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 1st that it will resume its board meeting on November 2, which was adjourned the previous day. It will hold a vote on Korean Air's corrective measures to be submitted to the European Commission, including a plan to sell its cargo division.

Asiana Airlines' board of directors held a board meeting from 2 p.m. the previous day and reviewed Korean Air's corrective measures to be submitted to the European Commission on the merger for nearly eight hours, but failed to complete the vote. After a full session in the afternoon, the board of directors resumed at 6 p.m. and could not reach a conclusion.

The relevant corrective action plan shall lose effect if it is not approved by the board of directors of Asiana Airlines. As the board of directors will be held beyond the 31st, the deadline for submitting the correction plan, Korean Air has applied to the EU's executive committee for an extension of the deadline.
