[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Park Sang-soo (29), the eldest son of Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won, has been confirmed to have joined Doosan, the holding company of Doosan Group.
According to Doosan on the 2nd, Park Sang-soo joined Doosan's holding division 'CSO New Business Strategy Team' in September.
Park, a 5-year-old Doosan family member, is expected to take management classes in earnest under the title of senior secretary. CSO is an organization that establishes a group-wide business strategy and is in charge of new businesses, and Park will be in charge of finding new businesses.
After graduating from Cornell University's Department of Hotel Management in 2019, he returned home from the United States and worked in the semiconductor sector of Korea Investment & Securities from 2020 to early this year.
Chief Park currently owns 132,380 shares of Doosan Corp., with a 0.8% stake. Doosan's owner is known to be the highest among the 5th generation.
It is Park's second time to join a Doosan affiliate after Park Sang-woo (29), the eldest son of Doosan Group Vice Chairman and Doosan Energy Chairman Park Ji-won among Doosan's owner families.
Park Sang-woo, who studied politics at the University of Chicago in the U.S., worked for Boston Consulting Group from 2018 to early 2022 Since last year, he has moved to HyAxiom, a subsidiary of Doosan's hydrogen sector, and has been working as a part leader.
