[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Wemade succeeded in making a surplus, achieving its highest sales ever in the third quarter, thanks to the Chinese success of the Legend of Mir’ series and solid domestic sales of "Night Crow."

Wemade announced on the 7th that it recorded sales of 235.5 billion won, operating profit of about 45.4 billion won, and net profit of about 37.9 billion won in the third quarter of this year.

Wemade has finally escaped from the swamp of deficits that had been missing for five consecutive quarters since the second quarter of last year. The long-term success of overseas copyrights and existing games has had a good impact on the surplus, the game company explained. Sales rose 117.5% year-on-year and 47.9% quarter-on-quarter.

Wemade will conclude the publishing contract of Mir 4 and Mir M in China within this year. The goal is to release games every quarter next year. The company plans to launch the global version of 'Night Crow' and the real-life character-based baseball game 'Fantastic 4 Baseball' in the first quarter, Mir4 Chinese service in the second quarter and new intellectual property (IP) in the third quarter, and MirM Chinese service in the fourth quarter.
