The 'Insurance Hall of Fame Laureate' is the most prestigious prize in the world insurance sector, called the 'Nobel Prize in Insurance'. It was established in 1957 to honor those who contributed greatly to the development of the insurance industry through innovative activities, and the winner's achievements and management philosophy are permanently preserved in the Hall of Fame.
The award, following Shin Yong-ho, the founder of the Hall of Fame in 1996, set a record for the first and second-generation father and son entrepreneurs to be dedicated to the Hall of Fame together for the first time in the history of the world insurance industry.
About 350 people, including CEOs, executives and insurance scholars of global insurance companies and related agencies, attended the awards ceremony held at the Hilton Singapore Orchard Hotel on the evening of the 6th to celebrate Chairman Shin's award. The awards ceremony was held in the order of watching a video showing Shin's path as CEO of Kyobo Life Insurance over the past 23 years and Shin's acceptance speech.
