According to the Digital Times on the 7th, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said in a telephone interview with the paper, "The store regarding Paris Baguette mold has not been confirmed, but the manufacturer has been confirmed," adding, "Seongnam City, the competent authority, will conduct an on-site inspection of the manufacturer soon."
In a related development, an online community posted a photo of the product on the 6th, along with a message saying, "The mold was blooming on the Paris Baguette roll cake I bought today." The author who wrote for the community at the time wrote along with a picture of the bread, "I bought a roll cake in Paris Baguette today and it looks like a mold. What's wrong with Paris Baguette these days?" The box containing the product has an expiration date of November 7, 2023.

In response, SPC said, "No application has been filed with the headquarters regarding the case, and we will find out if there were any inquiries from the franchisees and explain it to the relevant authorities."
