[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Lotte Rental announced on the 7th that its consolidated operating profit in the third quarter of this year was KRW 81.43 billion, down 13.34% from the same period last year.
Sales fell 4.23 percent to 687.33 billion won, while net profit turned into a surplus of 39.654 billion won.
Net profit for the current term is the highest ever in the third quarter.
Lotte Rental explained that it has carried out activities to expand the portion of its rental business in the third quarter of this year.
Lotte Rent-a-Car My car Save, a used car rental service, has been launched and work has been completed to strengthen commercial vehicle leases.
Lotte Rental also said it reduced accident risk costs by 10.5% (6.1 billion won) compared to the same period last year. The aim is to reduce accident-related costs by 7% every year.
Used car export sales totaled 54.8 billion won in the 1∼3rd quarter of this year, up 35.6% from the same period last year.
