[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] LG Electronics' plant operation rate in the CAR electric parts sector exceeded 100% in the third quarter, making it a major business.
According to a report by LG Electronics (066570) in the third quarter of the year, the average operation rate of the VS Business Headquarters, which is in charge of CAR electric parts, recorded 101.1% on a cumulative basis in the third quarter of this year.
The average utilization rate refers to how much the company has actually produced compared to its production capacity. The fact that the utilization rate exceeds 100% means that the factory production line is fully operational.
Facility investment in the CAR electric parts sector is also on the rise. LG Electronics plans to invest in facilities worth 800 billion won this year, up more than 20% from the previous year. By the third quarter of this year, the cumulative investment amounted to 573 billion won, the largest amount of investment among all business headquarters.
