[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Domestic rechargeable battery stocks also fell one after another as Tesla shares plunged nearly 4%.

On the 17th, Ecopro closed at 679,000 won, down 32,000 won (4.50%) from the previous day. Ecopro regained its closing price of KRW 700,000 by rising 5.96% on the 14th, but fell more than 4% on the same day, falling again to KRW 600,000 in four trading days.

As individuals and institutions went on sale together, stock prices fell. Individuals and institutions sold 35.68186 billion won and 14.12567 billion won worth of Ecopro, respectively. On the other hand, foreigners bought 51.3971 billion won alone.

L&F and EcoproBM also fell by 5,000 won (3.00%) and 4,500 won (1.86%), respectively. In addition, LG Energy Solutions (-2.37%), Samsung SDI (-2.42%), POSCO Future M (-2.56%), Geumyang (-1.41%), and POSCO Holdings (-0.75%) all fell in the KOSPI market.

The decline in South Korea's secondary battery stocks is attributed to a sharp drop in Tesla's stock price, the No. 1 global electric vehicle company.

Tesla closed at $ 233.59 on the 16th (local time), down 3.81% from the previous day. It seems that profit-taking sales have been made due to the surge. Tesla rose 13.1% in four trading days from the 10th to the 15th, raising its stock price day after day.
