kurly announced on the 24th that sales in the third quarter of this year rose 5.3% year-on-year to 5,288 billion won.
During the same period, operating losses fell 35.3 percent year-on-year to 40.7 billion won, improving sharply for three consecutive quarters following 41 percent in the first quarter and 31.6 percent in the second quarter.
By the third quarter, cumulative sales reached 1.5,463 trillion won, the highest ever in both quarters and cumulative sales.
kurly explained that sales grew due to various strategies to increase user activity. kurly focused on expanding customer contact by holding its first offline festival Curly Food Festa in July and launching paid membership Curly Members and game-type Apptech My Curly Farm in August. As a result, the number of buyers in the third quarter of this year was the highest quarterly.
At the same time, operating losses have been reduced due to improved profitability through marketing costs, logistics and delivery efficiency. In the third quarter of this year, Curly's advertising advertising expenses fell 30% year-on-year.
