[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Golden Blue said on the 27th that it has scrapped all remaining Carlsberg products after distribution was suspended in March this year due to a dispute with the Carlsberg Group.
The disposal measure was decided to reduce additional losses from spending, including the cost of storing the remaining products due to the prolonged dispute between Golden Blue and the Carlsberg Group after the suspension of distribution of Carlsberg products.
Carlsberg products that have been scrapped this time are worth about 490 million won, including disposal costs.
Golden Blue has been marketing in the imported beer market by signing an import and distribution contract with Carlsberg Group in May 2018.
Golden Blue says it has also made huge investments, including hiring new workers and establishing a new B & S (Beer and Spirits) headquarters.
Golden Blue has filed a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission against the Carlsberg Group on July 5 in protest of the unilateral termination of the contract.
