[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The gap between Naver, Korea's two largest portals, and Daum's mobile application (app) users is widening.
According to WiseApp, an app and retail analysis service on the 30th, the number of Korean users who used the next app more than once on their smartphones last month was 7.24 million.
The next app, MAU (monthly active users), dropped 33% in five years from 10.79 million in October 2018.
On the other hand, Naver app MAU increased by 25% from 34.46 million to 42.95 million during the same period.
As of last month, Naver app users are about six times more than Daum app users.
