Ecopro group's market capitalization exceeded 56 trillion

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Eco-Promaterials continued its surge on the 29th. The combined market capitalization of Ecopro Group's listed companies exceeded 56 trillion won.

On the same day, Eco-Promaterials closed at 136,500 won, up 2.63% from the previous trading day. It is about 3.8 times higher than the public offering price (36,200 won).

The market capitalization was estimated at about 9.31 trillion won based on the closing price. It is the second largest listed company in the securities market after Samsung Electronics, LG Energy Solutions and SK Hynix.

The market capitalization exceeded KRW 10 trillion as it rose to KRW 151,200, 13.68% higher than the previous day. However, the increase decreased in the second half of the market and stayed at 130,000 won.

Eco-Promaterials hit the upper limit for 20 to 21 consecutive days since its listing on the 17th. Most of them have continued to rise, except on the 22nd, when they fell 5.49% from the previous day.

The surge in stock prices was backed by buying by individual investors. According to the Korea Exchange, individual investors bought 305,000 shares and bought a total of 34.9 billion won. Foreign investors, on the other hand, sold 310,000 shares and sold a net 35 billion won.

The market capitalization of EcoPro and EcoProBM is about 19.7 trillion won and 26.36 trillion won, respectively, based on the closing price of the day. Including EcoproHn (about 1.4 trillion won), the combined market capitalization of the four listed companies of Ecopro Group amounts to 56.42 trillion won.

It is higher than the market capitalization of Samsung BioLogics (51.6 trillion won), the top four in the stock market. It is the fourth largest level after Samsung Electronics (about 433.4 trillion won), LG Energy Solutions (104.6 trillion won) and SK Hynix (94.8 trillion won).

Currently, many securities firms, including Mirae Asset Securities Co., Korea Investment & Securities Co., NH Investment & Securities Co., Samsung Securities Co., Kiwoom Securities Co. and KB Securities Co., have raised their margin ratio to 100 percent, limiting the credit transactions of EcoPromerty.
