[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] SV Investment will invest an additional 300 billion won in BMC, an electric vehicle driving motor manufacturer. BMC is where SV Invest invests about 240 billion won in 2020 to secure a 100% stake.
SV Invest announced on the 29th that it has completed the formation of the second private equity investment joint venture (PEF) of SV Global Industries worth about 230 billion won. It plans to raise an additional 90 billion won by the first quarter of next year to increase the fund to 320 billion won. The SV Investment PE division achieved about 620 billion won in operating assets with the formation of the fund.
First, SV Invest will invest 216 billion won in BMC by utilizing the PEF collected. This is how BMC participates in shareholder allocation paid-in capital increase by the end of this year. In addition, the total amount of investment is expected to reach 300 billion won next year. BMC's corporate value after investment is estimated to exceed 500 billion won.
SV Invest is planning to develop BMC into a mid-sized company that meets global standards. BMC will use the secured funds to expand production capacity with large-scale facility investment and accelerate global market penetration. Based on localization strategies in China, Poland and Mexico, the company aims to absorb global market demand, expand orders by base and promote sales growth.
