[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Movex has won a 100 billion won smart logistics system supplied to Hankook Tire & Technology's U.S. plant.

Hyundai Movex announced on November 11 that it has signed a logistics automation system supply contract worth about 107.7 billion won with Hankook Tire's Tennessee subsidiary in the United States. It is the largest ever for a single order. With this order, Hyundai Movex has accumulated annual orders of nearly 400 billion won this year, the highest performance since its foundation.

Hyundai Movex will provide smart logistics solutions to its Tennessee plant in the U.S., where Hankook Tire will expand by 2027. It supplies state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that integrate and operate and control key logistics processes leading to tire raw materials, manufacturing and finished products.

In particular, robot systems such as Gantry Robot (picking and transporting), AGV (unmanned transport), and new EMS (Chunjeong Trajectory Transport) developed by Hyundai Movex will be introduced. It is expected to greatly increase the process and transportation efficiency.

Recently, Hyundai Movex has been supplying differentiated solutions to Chinese tire companies Linglong and Sailun in China, Serbia and Southeast Asia, and is expanding globally.
