[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] It has recently been confirmed that the Defense Acquisition Program Administration has decided to "hold" disciplinary action while HD Hyundai Heavy Industries employees were convicted of violating the Military Secrets Protection Act.

According to officials at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, we held a contract review committee on HD Hyundai Heavy Industries on the 20th, but did not decide on "unfair sanctions." As a result, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries will be able to avoid sanctions such as restrictions on participation in bidding related to defense projects and imposing fines for the time being.

The court earlier confirmed on the 30th of last month that HD Hyundai Heavy Industries employees were guilty of stealing the concept design of the next-generation Korean destroyer (KDDX) in 2014.

Whether to punish HD Hyundai Heavy Industries or not is expected to be discussed again at the next deliberation.
