[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver has been ranked first in the "Company of the Year" selected by job seekers for the second consecutive year. Samsung Electronics came in second and Hyundai Motor third.
Recruitment platform Catch has released this year's corporate rankings. This ranking is selected by voting for 50 companies that were most loved by job seekers that year. This year 949 people took part in the voting.
Naver topped the list of companies of the year in 2023 following last year. Second place was Samsung Electronics, which rose one notch from third place last year. Third place was Hyundai Motor, which has become a big issue due to large-scale hiring of production workers this year. The ranking rose sharply from 10th last year to third this year.
Analysts say the popularity of traditional conglomerates has been hot this year. Companies affiliated with large companies such as SK, CJ, LG, and Shinsegae ranked in the top 10.
On the other hand, Kakao, which finished second last year, remained in fifth place, with most of the IT companies that ranked high last year relatively weak.
